♿ How Do I Set Up the Skiddle Access Scheme?

Steps to setting up the Skiddle Access Scheme and Personal Assistant Tickets.

There are 2 steps to setting up the Skiddle Access Scheme for your event:

  1. 📝 Add the correct wording to your event

  2. 🎟️ Add a Personal Assistant Ticket

This guide will walk you through both steps so you're ready to offer Personal Assistant tickets to eligible customers.

📝 Step 1: Add the Correct Wording to Your Event

To make it clear to customers that Personal Assistant tickets are available for your event, you'll need to add the following wording to your event main description.

Please copy all of the text below:

♿ Access Scheme

We're offering Personal Assistant tickets for customers who need to be accompanied to this event. A Personal Assistant ticket is to be offered for free or discounted when somebody with a disability requires a carer to be in attendance with them. To automatically be eligible, please provide a copy of one of the following pieces of documentation listed below.

  • Front page of DLA / PIP (no specific rate)

  • Front page of Attendance Allowance letter (no specific rate)

  • Evidence that registered severely sight impaired (blind)

  • Recognised Assistance Dog ID card

  • Credibility's Access Card

This information allows customers to understand that Personal Assistant tickets are available and what evidence they need to provide to apply. 💡

🎟️ Step 2: Add a Personal Assistant Ticket

Once the wording has been added to your event, you'll need to create the Personal Assistant Ticket.

➕ Create the Ticket

  1. 🎟️ Click Add Tickets.

  2. ✏️ Name the ticket Personal Assistant Ticket.

  3. 💷 In the price section, select Yes when asked 'Is this a free ticket?'

  4. ⚙️ Scroll down to the Advanced Options box.

  5. 🔒 Under Ticket Visibility, select Password protected.

  6. 👁️ Select Show ticket, unable to buy until password entered.

  7. 🎫 Set the available allocation of Personal Assistant tickets based on your venue's requirements.

  8. 🔢 Set Max per order to 1.

👉 For more information on adding tickets, see our guide How to Add Tickets.

🔗 Set Up the Ticket Dependency

Under Ticket Dependency, select the paid ticket types that a customer must have purchased in order to access a Personal Assistant ticket.

This ensures the Personal Assistant ticket can only be issued alongside the relevant paid ticket. 🎟️

🔓 What Happens After You Save the Ticket?

Once the ticket is saved, an unlocked padlock icon 🔓 will appear next to the Personal Assistant Ticket.

Don't worry about this — customers cannot purchase the ticket themselves.

Once a customer has provided the required evidence and this has been approved, our Customer Care team will manually issue the Personal Assistant ticket and add it to their existing order.

👉 For more information on password-protected tickets, see our guide How to Add a Passworded Ticket.

🛡️ How Are PA Tickets Managed?

Although the Personal Assistant Ticket is visible on your event listing, customers will only be issued a ticket once satisfactory evidence of disability has been provided and approved.

This means:

  • ♿ Customers must provide the required evidence.

  • 👥 Tickets are handled by our in-house Customer Care team.

  • 🔒 Personal Assistant tickets aren't openly available for customers to purchase.

  • ✅ Requests are checked before a ticket is issued.

This allows customers to see that Personal Assistant tickets are available while ensuring requests are handled correctly and securely.
