🚀 Getting started

To set up Session Based Ticketing, follow the normal event listing process.

  1. Create your event

Start by using the usual event listing flow. For more information on creating your first event, see our How to add an event guide.

  2. Choose your event type

On Step 1: Basic Info, choose whether you want your event to be:

    • Single event

    • Event Series (two or more Dates)

For more information on Event Series, see our Event Series guide.

  3. Choose your ticketing type

You'll then be asked whether you want to use:

    • 🎟️ Standard ticketing

    • Timed Sessions

Select Timed Sessions to allow customers to choose a specific entry time.

🕐 Setting up your Sessions

Once you've selected Timed Sessions, you'll be able to choose a default Session capacity.

This can be changed for individual Sessions later using the Sessions Calendar.

📅 Automatically generate Sessions

You can choose to pre-fill your event with automatically generated Sessions.

Select your preferred Session interval:

  • 15 minutes

  • 30 minutes

  • 45 minutes

  • 1 hour

We'll automatically calculate how many Sessions are required based on the Event Start and End times you've entered earlier in the event setup.

✏️ Create Sessions manually

Alternatively, you can choose not to pre-fill your event with Sessions.

You'll then be able to create Sessions manually from the Sessions Calendar.

This is particularly useful if your Sessions don't follow a regular pattern, for example:

9:00am → 11:00am → 3:30pm

👀 Preview your Sessions

Once you've selected your settings, you'll see a preview of the Sessions that will be generated.

Don't worry if you need to make changes later — you can add or remove individual Sessions using the Sessions Calendar.

Once you're happy with your setup, click Continue to step 02 and complete the rest of your event setup as normal.

🛠️ Managing your Sessions

Once your Sessions have been created, you can make further changes from the Sessions Calendar on your event dashboard.

You can use the Sessions Calendar to manage things such as:

  • ➕ Adding Sessions

  • ✏️ Editing Sessions

  • 👥 Changing Session capacity

  • 🔒 Closing Sessions

  • 🗑️ Deleting Sessions where there are no sales

  • ❌ Cancelling Sessions where tickets have already been sold
