How to set up Pricing Bands on an Event Series with timed sessions

Before you begin setting up your pricing bands, your event will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Your event has multiple Dates (an Event Series)

  • Your event has multiple timed sessions per Date (Session Based Ticketing)

  • You want to charge different prices for your tickets on different dates in the series i.e. you have peak and off-peak prices

Creating a new event:

1. You can set up an Event Series with timed sessions as you require, following the usual event creation process.

2. When you reach step 4, where you would normally add tickets, you will see the screen below. Here you can opt to create up to 3 Pricing Bands for your event before adding tickets.

Note: Standard is required and will be set as the default Pricing Band for your event. This can be changed later via the Pricing Bands tab on the Event Dashboard if required. A minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 Pricing Bands are required to continue.

3. Create your tickets. You must now add a price for each Pricing Bands enabled in the previous step.

4. To manage Pricing Bands (edit, delete, deactivate, change default etc) go to the Pricing Bands tab on the Event Dashboard.

5. To apply Pricing Bands to Dates, follow the instructions further down

Add to an existing Event Series with timed sessions:

1. Navigate to the ‘Peak/Off-peak pricing’ tab on the Event Dashboard.

2. Click on the ‘+’ icon to add a new Pricing Band

3. Choose a name for your Pricing Band from the dropdown options (note: Pricing Band names will never be displayed to customers and are only used for managing your event in the Promotion Centre. Customers will only see the associated ticket price)

4. Enter prices for all open existing tickets

5. Click ‘Confirm’

6. To apply Pricing Bands to Dates, follow the instructions below

Apply Pricing Bands to Dates:

1. Navigate to the Sessions Calendar tab on the Event Dashboard

2. Click the three-dot menu on the desired Date, then select ‘Apply Pricing Band’

3. Select the required Pricing Band from the dropdown

4. Check the prices are correct on the confirmation modal and click ‘Confirm’
