An Event Series is made up of two or more Dates. These Dates can run on a regular schedule, such as daily, weekly or monthly, but the schedule can be customised to suit your event.
All Dates within an Event Series share the same event details, tickets and pricing. Any changes made to the Event Series will therefore apply across all Dates.
🤔 Why Would I Detach a Date?
Event Series are ideal for recurring events such as:
🎉 Resident club nights
🖼️ Daily exhibitions
😂 Fortnightly comedy shows
🎭 Regular performances
However, you may have a Date that needs to be managed differently from the rest of the series.
For example, you may have:
⭐ A special guest appearance
💷 Different ticket prices
📍 A different venue
📝 Different event information
In these cases, you can use the Detach feature to separate the Date from the Event Series.
🔓 What Happens When I Detach a Date?
When you detach a Date, it becomes a standalone event, completely separate from the Event Series.
This means you can manage the event independently, including its:
🎟️ Tickets and pricing
📍 Venue
📝 Event information
📅 Other event details
⚠️ Please Note: Detaching a Date is permanent and irreversible. Once a Date has been detached, it cannot be added back to the Event Series.
⚙️ How Do I Detach a Date?
To detach a Date from your Event Series:
📅 Go to the Event Series dashboard.
🔍 Find the Date you want to detach.
⚙️ Click the cog icon on the right-hand side.
🔓 Select Detach.
⚠️ A confirmation message will appear. Review the warning and confirm that you want to detach the Date.
Once confirmed, the Date will be removed from the Event Series and become a standalone event that can be managed independently.
