🎟️ How to Add an Event

A step-by-step guide to creating and listing your event on Skiddle in 5 simple steps.

Listing your event with Skiddle is quick and straightforward. Follow these 5 steps to create your event and get it ready for customers.

πŸš€ Before You Start

You'll need a Skiddle Promoter account before you can create an event.

If you don't already have an account, you can register for free:

Once logged in, you'll see your Event Dashboard.

Scroll down and click Create Event to get started.

1️⃣ Step 1: Basic Info

This is where you'll enter the essential information about your event.

πŸ“ Event Details

Start by:

  • 🎟️ Selecting the event category

  • ✏️ Adding your event name

  • πŸ“ Writing a short description

Keep your short description snappy and use it to highlight the key information and main selling points of your event.

πŸ“ Select Your Venue

Enter your venue name in the venue search box and select it from the dropdown.

If you can't find your venue, scroll to the bottom of the dropdown and select + Add to add a new venue.

πŸ“… Set Your Date & Time

Select the date and time of your event.

You can also add:

  • πŸšͺ Last Entry time

  • 🎀 Performance starts time

These aren't essential, but they can be useful for customers planning their arrival.

2️⃣ Step 2: Additional Information

Use this section to tell customers more about your event.

πŸ“ Event Description

Add a detailed event description explaining what customers can expect.

You can include as much relevant information as you like. Providing clear, useful information can help customers decide whether to purchase tickets.

You can also add:

  • πŸ”ž Age restrictions

  • 🎀 Artists

  • 🏷️ Brands

  • 🎢 Genres

For more information, see:

3️⃣ Step 3: Images

πŸ–ΌοΈ Your event image is one of the first things customers will see, so make sure it stands out.

For the best results, upload a:

  • πŸ“ High-resolution square image

  • πŸ“ Image containing less than 20% text

  • ✨ Clear, high-quality image

A brand logo or artist profile image can work particularly well.

⚠️ Please Note: Events without images may not be displayed in some areas of the Skiddle website.

5️⃣ Step 5: Confirmation

Before creating your event, you'll need to choose its visibility.

🌍 Public

Your event will be visible across Skiddle, including:

  • πŸ“… Skiddle Events Guide

  • πŸ“± Skiddle App

  • πŸ”Ž Google

This option provides the greatest exposure.

πŸ”’ Private

Choose Private if you only want customers you share the event URL with to access the listing.

Your event won't appear in the Skiddle Events Guide, Skiddle App or Google search results.

πŸ” Private Passworded

This provides an additional level of security.

Customers will need to enter a password before they can view the event listing.

πŸ” Review Your Event

Before creating your event, carefully check all the information you've entered.

You can edit any section by clicking the ✏️ pencil icon on the right-hand side of the relevant section.

Make sure your:

  • πŸ“ Event information is correct

  • πŸ“… Dates and times are correct

  • πŸ“ Venue is correct

  • πŸ–ΌοΈ Image is suitable

  • 🎟️ Tickets and prices are correct

  • πŸ”’ Visibility settings are correct
