When creating an event, the default visibility setting is Public. Most promoters will want their event to be publicly visible, but you can also choose to make your event Private.
Here's the difference between the two options.
๐ Public Events
Public events are visible across Skiddle and can benefit from maximum exposure.
A public event:
๐ฃ Appears on the Skiddle Events Guide
๐ Can appear on some partner websites and apps
๐ข Appears on the relevant venue page
๐ค Can appear on associated artist pages
๐ Appears in Skiddle keyword search results
๐ Can be indexed by Google and appear in Google search results
๐ก Recommended: If you're looking to maximise the reach of your event, keep your event set to Public.
๐ Private Events
Private events are ideal if you only want selected customers or guests to access your event.
A private event:
โ Won't appear on the Skiddle Events Guide
โ Won't appear on our partner websites or apps
โ Won't appear on the relevant venue or artist pages
โ Won't appear in Skiddle keyword search results
โ Won't be indexed by Google
Your event can still be accessed by anyone you provide the event URL to.
