A Good Event Image🖼️

Choosing the right image for your event can make a huge difference to how it performs across Skiddle. 🎟️📈

👀 Why Do I Need an Image?

Your main event image is your first chance to stand out in our listings.

Our data shows that a good-quality image can boost views of your event by up to 10x. 🚀

In high-traffic areas of our website, we may not show events that don't have a good-quality image uploaded.

To get the most from Skiddle's promotional services, we strongly recommend uploading an image for every event you list. 📸

To upload an image, simply select a .jpeg or .png file from your computer when prompted.

📐 File Requirements

When uploading your event image, keep the following requirements in mind:

📦 Maximum file size: 10MB

🖼️ File types: .jpeg or .png

📏 Image dimensions: between 800px × 800px and 1024px × 1024px

You'll be able to crop your image during the upload process, and we'll automatically resize it where needed.

💡 Tip: Using an image within the recommended dimensions helps ensure it looks sharp and high-quality across all areas of Skiddle.

⭐ What Images Work Best?

Simple, clear images work best.

Good examples include:

  • 🎤 A photo of an artist performing at your event

  • 🏷️ Your event or brand logo

  • 📸 A high-quality, professional image that represents your event

Good Image Examples:

Avoid using complicated flyers or posters as your main event image. These can become unclear and difficult to read when displayed at smaller sizes.

🎨 Top tip: Keep your full event flyer for the Flyer Upload and use a simple artist image or logo as your Cover Image.

⚠️ Why Has My Image Been Flagged?

Around 95% of image flags are caused by one of the following issues:

📝 Too Much Text

Text should take up less than 20% of your image and remain legible when displayed at a smaller size, such as on the Skiddle mobile app or within an advert.

Flyers are great for providing event information, but your main event image should ideally feature a simple logo or artist image.

📐 Incorrectly Cropped or Stretched Images

Make sure your image is clear, correctly cropped and not warped or stretched.

Your image is a big part of your event's first impression, so make sure it looks professional and represents your event exactly how you want it to. ✨

🔍 Low-Resolution Images

Avoid pixelated or low-quality images.

If you notice grainy lines around text or fuzzy edges, try uploading a higher-quality version.

💡 Remember: Your event image is one of the first things customers see, so make it count! 👀
