Writing Your Short Description✍️

How to write a short description that helps sell your event and improve its visibility. 📣🔎

Your short description is your opportunity to sell your event with a brief overview that appears at the top of your listing page.

It can also act as an event preview in areas where space is limited, such as when your listing appears on one of our partner feeds.

🎯 What Should I Include?

To get the most from your short description, we recommend including:

  • 🎤 Artists

  • 🎶 Genres

  • 🔑 Relevant keywords

  • 📣 Any additional information that helps sell your event

Use information that isn't already included in your event title to give customers more reasons to click and find out more.

🔎 Why Is the Short Description Important?

The short description is the first block of text customers see after the essential event information.

It's also used when your event appears in search results, so it's an important opportunity to improve your event's visibility.

Our team has invested heavily in search engine optimisation (SEO), so make sure you're making the most of your short description.

📝 Short Description Guidelines

We recommend keeping your short description between 100–150 characters.

⚠️ Please Note: Only lowercase text will pull through correctly to our partner feeds. Avoid using block capitals, as this may result in your listing being flagged.
