What is Session Based Ticketing?

Session Based Ticketing allows you to quickly and easily create and sell tickets for events requiring customers to arrive at specific times. The tools allow you to quickly and easily set up as many Sessions as you require with just a few clicks, saving you lots of time creating duplicate events and copying tickets between them.

Examples of events Session Based Ticketing is great for:

  • Ice Skating

  • Santa Grottos

  • Christmas Trails

  • Immersive Theatre

  • Halloween Experiences

  • Light Trails

  • Easter Trails

  • Meet & Greets

  • Winter Wonderland

  • Pantomimes / Performances

  • Fun Fairs

A Timed Session Event is split into multiple Sessions (think of these as entry times), with default intervals of either 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour. Each Session can have its own capacity for entry and tickets can be set up to either affect the Session capacity or not.

Sessions can also be individually added or removed from the Sessions Calendar. If a Session has already had sales then it can't be deleted and must be cancelled.

Timed Sessions can be set up in conjunction with an Event Series to easily create an event with multiple recurring Dates, each with multiple Timed Sessions.

Session Based Tickets typically work best for larger events requiring queue control or spaces that can accommodate guests throughout the day or night, such as museums, tours, escape rooms or theme parks.
