🎟️ Discount Codes

Want to give your customers a treat or encourage a few last-minute sales? 🎉 Discount Codes are a great way to offer customers a discount on one or more tickets.

Each Promotion you create can include one or multiple Discount Codes, giving you flexibility over how you distribute your offers.

To get started:

You'll then be taken to the Promotions dashboard where you can set up your offer.

Start by giving your Promotion a name.

You can then choose whether you'd like to offer:

Depending on your selection, enter the percentage or amount you would like to offer.

You can decide which tickets your Promotion applies to.

Choose from:

This gives you control over exactly which tickets customers can use their Discount Code against.

You can choose how many times your Discount Code(s) can be used.

Set a fixed number of uses.

Usage limits apply per individual Discount Code.

For example, if you create 5 different codes with a usage limit of 100, there could be up to 500 discounted orders.

Each individual Discount Code can be used an unlimited number of times.

💡 Important: Discount Code usage is tracked per order, not per ticket. If a customer purchases multiple eligible tickets in one order, this counts as one use of the code, but the discount will apply to all eligible tickets in that order.

Customers can only use one Discount Code per order.

You can either:

✍️ Create your own codes – enter each code on a separate line.

or

⚡ Generate codes automatically – use the Generate button to create as many codes as you need.

The Generate option is particularly useful if you're creating lots of single-use codes.

Setting up a Promotion for an Event Series or Session-Based Event works in much the same way as a standard event.

The main difference is that you can also choose which Dates the Promotion applies to.

Select All Dates if you want the Discount Code to be redeemable across every Date in your Event Series.

Choose Selected Dates if you only want the Discount Code to work on specific Dates.

You can then select which Dates are eligible.

Alternatively, select All but excluded Dates and choose which Dates you don't want the Discount Code to work on.

This is particularly useful when you want to offer a discount across an Event Series but exclude specific dates, such as peak periods or special events.

Discount Codes give you plenty of flexibility when promoting your event. You can create different codes for different audiences, control how many times they're used and decide exactly which tickets and Dates they're valid for.
