Adding a password to a ticket is a simple way to create an exclusive ticket type and run offers or promotions for selected customers.
🎟️ How to create a passworded ticket
To get started, head to the View All Events tab in the Promotion Centre and select the event you want to add the ticket to.
On the left-hand side, click View Tickets.
Select Add Tickets.
Complete the ticket template as normal.
When you reach View Advanced Options, click to expand the additional settings.
Find Ticket Visibility and click to open the options.
At the bottom of the box, select Password protected.
👀 Choose your ticket visibility
You can choose how the passworded ticket appears to customers:
🔒 Hidden until the password is entered – The ticket won't be visible until the correct password has been entered.
👁️ Visible but unavailable – Customers can see the ticket, but won't be able to purchase it until they enter the correct password.
Once you've selected your preferred option, scroll down and click Add Ticket.
🔑 Setting up your passwords
Once the ticket has been saved, you'll see an unlocked padlock 🔓 icon next to the ticket name.
Click the padlock to open the Password List window.
Here you can create your own passwords or use the password generator to create multiple passwords.
📝 Creating your password list
Give your password list a name.
Choose whether passwords can be used:
No (single use) – Each password can only be used once.
Yes (multi use) – The same password can be used multiple times.
Enter your passwords into the white text box, with one password per line, or use the password generator.
Click Save password list.
Once the list has been saved, the password conditions will automatically be applied to the tickets associated with it.
