📅 How to Postpone an Event

Need to postpone your event? You can manage this directly through the Promotion Centre. 👇

🚀 How to Postpone Your Event

To postpone your event:

  1. 🖥️ Head to the Promotion Centre.

  2. 🎟️ Click on the event you wish to postpone.

  3. ⚙️ Select Manage Event from the left-hand side.

  4. 🔄 Click Cancel / Postpone. (Shown Below)

  5. Select Postponed (Recommended).

You’ll then have two options:

  • 📅 Choose a new date — select the new event date using the calendar.

  • Postpone TBC — select this if your new date hasn't been confirmed yet.

Once you've selected your preferred option, click Next Step.

📝 Add Your Reason for Postponing

Next, you'll need to enter the reason for postponing your event.

💡 Please note: The reason you enter will be displayed to customers, so make sure the information is clear and appropriate.

💷 Handling Customer Refunds

When an event is cancelled or postponed, customers are entitled to a refund should they wish. 💰

You'll need to choose:

  1. ⏰ How many days customers have to claim a self-service refund.

  2. 👤 What happens after this period — whether refund requests will be managed by you or our Customer Support team.

Once you've selected your options, click Next Step.

📧 Confirm Your Event Reschedule

Before confirming the postponement, you'll be shown a preview of the email that will be sent to your customers.

👀 Read through the email carefully and make sure you're happy with the information.

Once you're ready, click Confirm Event Reschedule. ✅

📢 What Happens Next?

Customers will be notified of the postponement by email. 📧

If you've provided a new event date, the email will include an options link, allowing customers to view their available options, including requesting a refund.

🎟️ Tickets will be moved over to the new event date within 24 hours of the postponement.

Weekend postponements: If your event is postponed over the weekend, tickets will be moved to the new date on the following Monday, provided Monday isn't a Bank Holiday.
