Re:Sell allows customers to resell eligible tickets through Skiddle at face value when they can no longer attend.
For more information about Re:Sell, see our guide to All About Re:Sell.
โ๏ธ How Do I Enable Re:Sell?
To enable Re:Sell:
๐ฅ๏ธ Select your event from the Promotion Centre dashboard.
๐๏ธ Go to Manage Tickets.
๐ Select Re:Sell.
โ Enable the service for your event.
โ ๏ธ Important: A ticket must be sold out before Re:Sell can become active.
Customers cannot list tickets for resale while tickets from the original allocation are still available to purchase.
โฐ How Do I Set a Re:Sell Expiry?
When a customer lists their ticket for Re:Sell, Skiddle will continue trying to sell it until the expiry time.
The Re:Sell expiry date and time determines when:
โ Pending Re:Sell tickets stop being available.
๐ No further tickets can be listed for resale.
๐๏ธ Any unsold tickets are returned to the original purchaser.
Skiddle sets a sensible default expiry based on the event type.
๐ก Tip: If customers need to travel a long distance to your event, you may want to set an earlier expiry so unsuccessful sellers receive their tickets back in plenty of time.
๐ซHow Do I Disable Re:Sell?
When disabling Re:Sell, you can choose to:
Return all pending resale tickets to their original purchasers. ๐๐๏ธ
We recommend selecting this option if you're permanently disabling Re:Sell for the event.
If you plan to enable Re:Sell again later, this option isn't necessary.
๐ How Do Ticket Substitutions Work?
If you have multiple ticket tiers, you can use ticket substitutions to control which ticket customers receive when a resale takes place.
For example, you may have:
๐๏ธ Earlybird
๐๏ธ 1st Release
๐๏ธ 2nd Release
You may not want an Earlybird ticket to be resold while customers are currently paying more for a later ticket tier.
๐ท Example
If an Advance Discount Ticket 2 is listed for Re:Sell, you could configure it to be resold as an Advance Discount Ticket 3.
This means the resale takes place at the current ticket price, potentially generating an additional ยฃ15 from the difference between the original and replacement ticket prices.
โ๏ธ How Do I Set Up Ticket Substitutions?
To configure substitutions:
๐๏ธ Go to your event's Re:Sell settings.
๐ Select the Resell As tab.
๐ Find the ticket type you want to configure.
๐๏ธ Select which ticket it should be resold as.
If your ticket structure is simple, you can simply select the same ticket type.
๐ซ Can I Stop Specific Tickets Being Resold?
Yes. You can disable Re:Sell for individual ticket types.
This can be useful for tickets such as:
โญ VIP tickets
๐ฅ Guestlist tickets
๐๏ธ Other ticket types you don't want customers to resell
Simply select Do not resell for the relevant ticket type.
๐ What Happens If I Change My Ticket Substitutions?
If you change your ticket substitutions after customers have already listed tickets for Re:Sell, the new substitution will automatically apply to future and pending resales.
If tickets are already pending Re:Sell and you later change that ticket type to Do not resell, the pending resale tickets can be cancelled and returned to their original purchasers.
