When adding your event to Skiddle, you’ll be asked to choose whether it’s a One-Off Event or part of an Event Series. Picking the right option will make event setup easier and more intuitive for the customer.
One-Off Events
A One-Off Event happens only once, on a specific date (or across consecutive days for something like a festival). This is the most common type of event.
Examples:
A New Year’s Eve party.
A gig for an upcoming band.
A music festival that runs over a whole weekend.
What the customer sees:
The event will appear as a standard single listing on Skiddle.
Customers looking for your event will only see that specific date.

Event Series (Multiple Separate Events)
An Event Series is a recurring event, where the same format takes place on any number of different days. These can be regularly recurring Dates (e.g. every Saturday or Monday to Friday) or customised to fit your specific schedule.
Examples:
A weekly pub quiz.
A monthly painting workshop.
A yoga class that runs on Thursdays and Fridays.
What the customer sees:
Event Series are listed together by default on Skiddle, giving your customers the choice of which day to attend without needing to search through all the available options to find a suitable Date. They simply select their preferred Date from a calendar on the event page before selecting their tickets.
Alternatively, you can choose to display each Date as a separate event listing if you prefer, but customers will need to find the right one before purchasing their tickets.

Why use Event Series?
You only need to make changes once. Update a detail on your event, like the description, and it automatically applies to every event in the series.
Create one set of tickets which are then copied across each Date in your Event Series.
Get smarter insights by viewing sales and stats for the Entire Series, or zoom in on individual Dates when needed.
Make it easy for customers to choose. Show them a full calendar of your events so they can pick the Date that suits them best.
Limitations of Event Series
As Event Series is a relatively new development, some features aren’t currently supported:

Why Choosing the Right Option Matters
For customers: It creates a smoother booking journey and avoids confusion.
For promoters: It saves time setting up recurring events and keeps your listings tidy.
For visibility: Event Series display all upcoming Dates in one place, making it easier for customers to find your events and encouraging repeat business.
Tip: If your event is happening once and won’t be repeated, choose One-Off Event. If it’s something you run regularly with the same format, choose Event Series.
