Customers can claim their booking fee as credit when an event they have purchased tickets for is cancelled or postponed and they can no longer attend.
🎟️ How Does Booking Fee Credit Work?
When a customer is refunded, Skiddle processes a face value refund only.
This means the original ticket face value is refunded, while the booking fee is not automatically refunded.
The customer will then have the option to claim the booking fee as Skiddle credit.
Customers can also choose to refund themselves through their Order History, where they will be informed that their refund is for the face value only and given the option to claim their booking fee as credit.
💷 Why Is the Booking Fee Offered as Credit?
Booking fees are normally retained by ticket agents when events are cancelled or postponed, reflecting the costs involved in processing bookings and refunds.
Skiddle instead gives customers the option to retain the value of their booking fee as credit, which can be used towards a future purchase.
⏳ How Long Is the Credit Valid?
Booking fee credit can be redeemed against any future Skiddle order within 12 months.
It does not need to be used on an event by the same promoter as the original booking.
At checkout, customers can simply tick the relevant box to apply their available credit to their new order.
