Sometimes, you may not want your event to go live immediately after creation. To automate this process, you can embargo your event — this means scheduling a future date and time for it to go live. The system will automatically publish the event at the specified time, so you don’t need to remember to do it manually
Before You Begin
If you haven't created your event yet, please follow this guide first:
Steps to Embargo Your Event
To set up an embargo for an event listing, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open the Edit Event Page
Go to your Dashboard.
Locate the event you wish to schedule.
Click the Manage Event button (located on the left-hand side of the event listing).
Step 2: Access the Visibility Settings
In the Manage Event section, click Edit Visibility.
Click Next at the bottom right-hand corner of the page to proceed.
Step 3: Enable the Embargo Feature
Scroll to the bottom of the next page.
Click the Embargo button.
Step 4: Set the Embargo Date and Time
Enter the date and time you want your event to go live.
Once saved, your event will remain in Draft mode until the specified embargo time is reached.
📌 Note: You can edit or remove the embargo date and time at any point before the event is published.
Enter the date and time you would like your event to go live.
Example: Embargoing an Event
Let’s say you’ve created an event on August 1st, but you want it to go live on August 15th at 10:00 AM:
Navigate to your event via the dashboard.
Click Manage Event → Edit Visibility → Next.
Scroll down and click Embargo.
Set the embargo date to August 15 and time to 10:00 AM.
Save the settings.
Your event will automatically publish on August 15 at 10:00 AM, and no further action will be needed.
