Skiddle provides promoters with a platform to sell tickets with no cost incurred to the promoter. Instead, a booking fee is added to the ticket face value and is generally paid by the customer.
Our default booking fee rate is 10% of the ticket face value + 27p, with a minimum booking fee of £1.
🧮 How Are Booking Fees Calculated?
The booking fee is calculated as:
10% of the ticket face value + 27p
For example, if your ticket is £20:
🎟️ Ticket price: £20
💷 10% of £20: £2
➕ Fixed fee: 27p
Booking fee: £2.27
The customer would therefore pay £22.27 in total.
💡 Tickets Under £10
For tickets priced below £10, the minimum booking fee of £1 applies.
👤 Who Pays the Booking Fee?
By default, the customer pays the booking fee on top of the ticket face value.
However, promoters can choose to pay the booking fee on the customer's behalf.
When you choose to pay the booking fee, it becomes a commission and is deducted from the ticket face value.
The commission is calculated using the same rates:
10% of the ticket face value + 27p, with a £1 minimum.
⚙️ How Do I Pay the Booking Fee?
When setting up your tickets, select:
I pay fees from the booking fee dropdown menu.
This will set the booking fee as a commission deducted from the ticket face value rather than being added to the customer's purchase price.
