Skiddle Access Scheme and Personal Assistant Tickets

Updated over a week ago

Here at Skiddle, our main goal is to ensure our customers enjoy the events they want to attend to the full extent, with the experience being a great one from the word go. We want this goal to be inclusive of everybody.

With this aim in mind, we set up the Skiddle Access Scheme to ensure that people with disabilities can enjoy the experience without any hindrances. Our Customer Care team receive many calls/emails from customers trying to obtain Personal Assistant tickets and/or trying to find general accessibility information about an event. In many cases, we then have to follow up these requests with promoters, who may not have even considered the possibility of disabled people wanting to attend their events. Our Access Scheme will allow customers who require a personal assistant to attend events with them to purchase tickets as seamlessly as a customer who doesn’t have these needs.

Our aim is for all promoters using Skiddle to supply the relevant information regarding accessibility at their events and to allow customers to be able to obtain Personal Assistant tickets with ease.

Personal Assistant ticket is a ticket type to be offered for free or discounted when somebody with a disability, who requires a carer to be in attendance with them, purchases a ticket for an event on Skiddle.

When applying for a Personal Assistant ticket on the Skiddle platform, evidence will need to be provided. This evidence is as follows:

  • Front page of DLA / PIP (no specific rate)

  • Front page of Attendance Allowance letter (no specific rate)

  • Evidence that registered severely sight impaired (blind)

  • Recognised Assistance Dog ID card

  • Credibility's Access Card

Once this evidence has been provided and approved, a Personal Assistant ticket can be issued.
